Fall Engagement Locations in Amsterdam for a Photo Session
Last last year in October I had a fun Fall Engagement Photo Session in Amsterdam with Rachel & Antonio. OMG… It was such a blast with this lovely couple from the United States! Rachel & Antonio are expats living in Amsterdam and decided to book the “Amsterdam through your veins” package which includes 3 locations!
1. The dancing houses of Damrak
We started shooting at Damrak which is located on a stretch of canal between Amsterdam Central Station and Dam Square. Damrak is the beating heart of Amsterdam and of course, the Amsterdam shot everyone wants!
Damrak is definitely the perfect spot for take candid photos with the dancing houses reflection! The houses are known as the dancing houses as a result of being built on stilts and subsidence over time has resulted in their crooked appearance.
2. Brouwersgracht and Jordaan Neighbourhood
Following the Dutch way we biked to the locations! How fun it is! If you are a couple visiting The Netherlands that’s the best way to discover Amsterdam! We continued taking some candid engagement photos in Brouwersgracht and the Joordan neighbourhood. These are my favorite locations because the streets are quiet! It’s an absolute delight to take a stroll around these streets. Always characterized by having beautiful houseboats and small bridges!
3. Vondelpark and Lomanstraat
Vondelpark is a perfect location for fall photos. In Autumn this park covered by golden leaves makes the location super photogenic. Rachel & Antonio were running between the stunning trees and kissing a lot. Definitely the love was in this shoot, you can just tell from how they look to the eyes.
The last engagement photos were at an awesome lane with big crossed trees, Lomanstraat. I took some photos of the engaged couple giving a kiss with the mask, as a remembrance to COVID-9 in 2020. The coronavirus has definitely made realize to the world how much we need love and people in our lives. It was time to say goodbye to Rachel & Antonio with a last photo holding hands.
Photos immortalize that moment in time, that split second that will no longer be with us. Only the photo is the proof that that day existed and we lived it. So memories are not only priceless; they tell the story of our life.
